The Outdoor Test System, is a cutting-edge data acquisition and measurement system developed by King Design. The purpose of the Outdoor Test System is a to provide accurate long-term data for Photovoltaic and Solar Panels in a real-world environment

The system offers the end-user automatic measurement and analysis of the PV panel versus weather data, precise & reliable data with annual calibration and correct parameters including and is designed to enable customers to test their products for IEC61215 and IEC61646 Compliance

The system is made from several core components, these are:

• NOCT Measurement System

Weather Data Acquisition System

This module gathers weather data and stores it in a database. This database is used for the NOCT, I-V Measurement and outdoor expose testing.

Bi-Axis Sun tracker

This module tracks the sun to ensure that the test sample (PV Solar Panel) has direct exposure to the solar beam in accordance with IEC-60904-1

NOCT Measurement System

The NOCT measurement system is a composition of the digital multi-meter, Pyronometer, reference device and weather data acquisition system. The NOCT measures and records the temperature of the PV module that is mounted on the exposure plane as well as the irradiance of the sun to get the nominal operating cell temperature.

 I-V Measurement System

This module measures & records the electric output of the PV module mounted on the exposure plane or sun-tracking  system.

 STC Measurement System

This module measures the electric output (I-V curve) of the PV module, the software uses the formula of IEC-60891 to work out the Voc, Isc, Pmax, Vmpp, Impp and FF of the standard testing conditions.

The Outdoor Test System conforms to Measurement Data IEC 60904-1 Standards and the Reference Module conforms to IEC 60904-2 Standards.
