Centrotecnica Release New Test System for Earthquake Simulation

Centrotecnica , Italy have announced the release of their Lo.F.Hi.S. (Low Frequency High Stroke and Velocity Shaker) System.

The Lo.F.Hi.S. is based on new linear motor technology, with a force of 2000N and a displacement capability exceeding 275 mm, this new system is capable of replicating not only time history recorded tests but also swept sine, random and shock profiles.

Although the original design brief was to enable Earthquake research to be performed on small payloads, there has been significant interest across the general vibration test industry to utilse the system for low frequency transportation tests and high velocity shock tests where the pulse lengths can be in excess of standard test systems currently available on the market.

Andy Leadbeater commented “our test and measurement partners continue to design and develop new and intuitive products. We are excited to be able to promote this new technology from Centrotecnica and look forward to the positive reaction across the industry”.
