UV Test Chambers manufactured by King Design simulates the sun by generating UV light for material endurance testing.

King Design’s high-quality UV Test Chambers are made from stainless steel and feature UV Lamp Life of around 1000 hours. The Intensity of the light source can be adjusted with the uniformity range of +15%.

The light source is a 100W UV light located at a single or both sides of the chamber at a height of 1700mm.

With the pryadiometer and Current controlled Lamp System, the intensity of the light can be adjusted from the level of current flow.

In Additional to the UV test a Bypass diode test is required to access  the adequacy of the thermal design and relative long-term reliability of the bypass diodes used to limit the detrimental effects of module hot-spot susceptibility.

King Design have combined both the UV and Bypass test into one piece of equipment thus offering their customers a significant reduction in installation space

The combined chamber can heat the module to a temperature of 75 °C ± 5 °C. and measure / record  the temperature of the module(s) to an accuracy of ±1 °C.  and also  measure the junction voltage of the bypass diodes to an accuracy of 0.2

King Design supply a full set of equipment that also allows  current equal to 1.25 times the STC short -circuit current of to be applied to the module under test and  the means for monitoring the flow of current through the module, throughout the test.

All UV-BP Test Chambers manufactured by King Design conforms to both IEC 61215 and IEC 61646 standards.

Note:- King Design can also provide a separate Bypass Diode Test system separately from the UV Chamber if required
