Product Overview

The H3P is specifically designed to measure the stick-slip effect under the influence of third-party substances, such as oils, greases, fuels, coolants, water, pastes, dusts.

These third substances settle on or surround a material surface. Therefore, they can influence the tribological system and thus reduce the quality of a product and lead to malfunction.

The influence of third parties on the tribological properties of materials, such as stiction, sliding friction, stick-slip and abrasion and wear, is significant. The test bench enables the systematic, metrological recording and analysis of these properties. In addition, the influence of corrosive and wear-promoting media on the abrasion properties can be quantified with this testing technique.

This is helpful for planning and taking appropriate countermeasures in good time. Ideally, before this combination of materials finds its way into serial production.

Stick-slip measurements have been successfully carried out, especially in the automotive industry, for a long time and are already listed in various test specifications.
