ACS Sand and Dust Chambers

Product Overview

To meet market needs, ACS designs and produces standard and customized equipment for conducting Sand and Dust tests which comply with all the principal international standards.

ACS chambers can reproduce all the conditions specified in the standards requiring continuous ventilation (DIN 40046, MIL-STD 331 and MIL-STD 810 C), dust drop tests (DIN 40052), and tests with irregular whiff of compressed air (SAE J 575).

Standard Sand and Dust chambers are available in different 1000 l capacity models for conducting tests in compliance with:

  • SAE J575, EN 60529 FIG. 2
  • IEC/CEI EN 60068-2-68 (La2) NORMS – IP5X class of protection
  • EN 60529 FIG. 2 – IEC/CEI EN 60068-2-68 (La2) NORMS – IP5X class of protection equipped with vacuum system for IP6X tests

  • Key Features

ACS sand and dust test chambers are able to reproduce, inside the test chamber, the mechanical and electrical effects caused by the intrusion of dust or sandy material on an apparatus in order to assess its suitability to operate and be stored in certain environments.

ACS has acquired over the years a vast experience in the testing sector and, thanks to its flexibility, it is able to design “customized” chambers to meet any testing requirement and specific customer requirements.

    • Reproduce all the conditions included in the standards requiring continuous ventilation (DIN 40046.MIL-STD 331 AND MIL-STD 810 C) dust drop tests (DIN 40052) and tests with irregular whiff of compressor air) SAE J 575).
    • ACS equipment for sun light tests are according to MIL-STD 810 D while chambers for rain tests are manufactured according to DIN specifications.
    • ACS can also aid the design and manufacturing of custom chambers for more specific testing requirements, including space for larger scale testing such as for the automotive application.
  • Configuration

    • External structure made with square tubes and closing panels painted with RAL 7035
    • Internal chamber and hopper made of AISI 304 stainless steel
    • Blowing system by compressed air
  • Software

The KeyKratos Plus management software is embedded in the machine in built-in and completely dedicated hardware, which allows the control and management of the chamber functions. The chamber can be accessed remotely to take advantage of the advanced functions (such as the visual creation of thermoclimatic profiles, recordings management and graph analysis) using the WinKratos software that can be installed on a company PC.

Software drivers can be provided on request that allow you to manage the chamber directly from applications created by the customer.
