Ziegler Instruments announce the release of their new SAREX 3D Squeak and Rattle Vibration Test System.

SAREX Squeak and Rattle Ziegler Instruments have recently announced the release of their SAREX 3D Vibration Test System , the SAREX 3D is designed to perform a variety of Squeak and Rattle Automotive Vibration Tests.

The SAREX 3D has been designed to replicate realistic testing of  Automotive systems and components from a vehicle, these Systems and Components often require  excitation in several directions simultaneously.

By utilising a  MIMO (Multiple input , Multiple Output) Vibration controller the SAREX 3-D can perform simultaneous Vibration in the  X,Y and Z directions , as a truly flexible System, tests can also be performed in each Axis Independently.

As Squeak and Rattle Testing requires that the System including payload mounting  fixture are required to meet strict industry noise standards, Ziegler have utilised the Quiet Mode shaker technology to ensure that the current specifications from the Automotive industry for these types of Tests are strictly adhered to.

As with Ziegler’s SAREX UNO and Duo Test Systems the SAREX 3D can also be used for long term durability testing by simply initiating the in built fans within the Vibrators.

The system consists of 3 off Vibrators that are connected to  an inner and an outer frame, the inner frame moves in Z direction , the outer frame moves in X and Y directions.

The inner frame is Vibrated in the Z direction by a Single Vibrator, the frame is guided by the patented PSG’s ( Parallel Support Guides) guidance System, the maximum Displacement is 15mm.

The outer frame rests on air isolators, which permit more than sufficient lateral movement, the outer frame is then be excited by 2 Vibrators in the X and Y directions, the maximum displacement in X and Y mode is +/- 3mm.

The SAREX 3D is not restricted to 3D Squeak and Rattle Tests only, but can also be used to test for pitch and roll by simple adaptation.
